Background

In 2015 outline planning permission was granted for Beeston Park, a development of 3,520 new homes and supporting infrastructure including primary schools, employment space, a health centre, shops, cafés and restaurants, community halls and a library too. Since then, the principle of development has also been enshrined in the Local Plan.

Barratt David Wilson have acquired Phase 3a of the overall development and are now in the process of preparing a reserved matters application for the residential aspects. The reserved matters process focuses on the finer details of how the development will look.

As part of the public consultation to inform this design process, Barratt David Wilson are seeking feedback from the community on the reserved matters that include landscaping, layout, appearance and scale.

Infrastructure application

Ahead of the submission of their plan for new homes, Barratt David Wilson have submitted an infrastructure reserved matters application that seeks approval for the access, spine road, strategic landscaping, equipped accessible play space and drainage infrastructure which will serve Phase 3 of the approved outline permission.

This infrastructure application has been submitted first so that the supporting infrastructure can be built first. This will also lay the groundwork to facilitate the delivery of further phases of the wider Beeston Park development
